And Everyone was There
And Everyone was There (2016) is an investigation into the surreality of dreams and the capricious nature of memory. Working with a non-linear, stream-of- consciousness style narrative as a means of invoking the structure and feel of dreams, we tell the story of two women and their relationship both to each other and to the house in which they grew up. The film explores the way particular places can invoke memories, serving as the backdrop against which they are projected. And Everyone was There lures the viewer into the space where the realm of the unreal, of memories and dreams, merges with that of the real, leaving one anchor-less, having nothing to grasp but the illusion of continuity and consequence.
